WHAT IS A MICROCHIP?
A tiny transponder the size of a grain of rice containing a unique I.D. number that links you to you pet.

HOW DOES IT WORK?
If your pet ever strays away from home and gets lost someone will have to find him/her first in order to be indentified. A Microchip Technician, Vet, Rescue centre, or Dog Warden will use a special hand-held scanner to locate the pets unique microchip identification number.
MICROCHIP SCANNER
This I.D. number and all relevant details regarding you and your pet are registered with the National Database PetLog run by the Kennel Club. PetLog confirm your contact details then you and your pet are reunited.
WHERE IS THE MICROCHIP IMPLANTED?
The transponder (microchip) is implanted under the skin in the fatty area between the shoulder blades.
We use a pre-packed sterile needle that is scalpel sharp the microchip is held inside the needle and inserts onto the implant gun.

HOW LONG DOES THE MICROCHIPPING PROCEDURE TAKE?
Not long at all the implanting of the actual microchip only takes a few seconds all that is left to do is complete the registration form. Your pet will be protected with the most upto date identification technology.
AT WHAT AGE CAN MY PET BE MICROCHIPPED?
We usually say at 8-10 weeks, 10-12 weeks if the animal is on the small size.
DOES IT HURT?
The needle is designed to minimize discomfort however It depends on the animals breed, size, temperament and tolerance to pain, each idividual animal is different.

WHAT DO I RECIEVE ONCE MY PETS MICROCHPPED?
Once your pet has been microchipped you will recieve a copy of your pets registration form. your pets original registration certificate (AFTER A FEW WEEKS).
A free I.D tag that informs people he/she is microchipped & to scan the animal.
The tag also contains the databases telephone number is blank on the back for you to add any relevant information you wish.
Bar code stickers with your pets unique identification number for your ie; insurance, travel documents etc.
We take a photograph of your pet which we use for our own database.
